Aluminum Shoring
Aluminum panel trench shields are specifically tailored for municipalities and contractors utilizing rubber-tired backhoes or smaller excavators for trenching tasks. Constructed from lightweight, smooth, double-wall aluminum, the XLAP Aluminum shields feature a 3-inch side-wall made of foam-filled, 8” extrusions. This design effectively prevents dirt accumulation and minimizes friction. Weighing approximately half as much as similarly sized steel shields, the XLAP series is well-suited for various applications, including municipal maintenance, emergency repairs, and small utility projects.
The XLAP shields are available with either a flat bottom or an extruded aluminum knife edge. Known for having the highest strength-to-weight ratio in the industry, each shield is equipped with a professionally engineered depth certification tag. A wide range of telescoping spreader sets is available, along with accessories such as lifting lugs, stacking guides, adjustable legs, wheel kits, and arch spreaders.
