Dewatering Vacuum Boxes
Dewatering Vacuum Boxes are the perfect tool to remove excess water from sludge or other debris. Since they are a Vacuum Box you can still load them like a Vacuum Box, but then dewater them still like a dewatering box. These boxes have an expanded wire mesh bottom and sides allowing for easy gravity dewatering with a dewatering filter. With 4” side flanged ports and butterfly valves these boxes can then be pumped out or gravity drained to remove the excess water. This can allow for lower disposal costs as you will have a dry material at the end of the process and the water can be disposed of separately for waste water recycling compared to landfill solidification.
Another good use case is with a product you’re more worried about sloshing over the tarp you would have less chance of a major leak from the roof with a vacuum box. Either box can have small leaks typically near the chain binders at the back door seal with the pressures induced from sloshing water hitting the door during transport.

Dewatering Vacuum Boxes are an excellent and simple dewatering tool that is cheaper than other ways of dewatering. Boxes like these are always inspected upon their return to the yard to make sure the flanges and valves as well as the door seals and dewatering mesh are clean and in good order for the next job they go out to.
