High Head Dry Prime Pumps
Our Solids Handling High Head Dry Prime Pumps, manufactured by Thompson Pump for Blue Tank and Pump Rental, range from 4” to 12” and are available in trailer mounted and skid mounted diesel-powered units. With the capability of handling up to a 3” solid with proprietary enclosed impellers manufactured by Thompson Pump, we can size the pump to fit a customer’s application to ensure they get the correct pump for the job.
These units are also fitted with a compressor/venturi system to prime themselves without needing to have an attendant fill the volute. We also have the option for autostart floats, level control, and pressure controlled operation. This adds a level of assurance and peace of mind that the pump will be available when needed and not run unnecessarily. High head models are a great addition to our pump line as they allow for the jobs that a higher head pressure is needed but the size of the pump does not need to change. This means a smaller unit can be used for jobs where it is needed without having to up size the pump to handle the head.

All pumps go through a 4 part inspection process from the time they are picked up to the time they go back out on a job to ensure that they are in the best working order possible for every customer.
