Media Filters
Blue Tank & Pump Rental has an extensive fleet of media filters that can be utilized for a variety of water treatment needs. Typically these are used with sand, clay, or carbon media, but specific blended media can be procured for special applications. These types of filters are usually one of the last steps in a water treatment process and their main objective is to polish the water. This may involve removing fine pollutants or suspended matter from the water, or targeting specific materials such as metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), organic chemicals, oils/grease, and chlorine.
These filtration systems are built on skids for easy mobilization and placement on site and are designed with ease of setup and maintenance in mind. Typically, all that is required of install is plumbing into and out of the skid. Some even come pre-configured with multiple vessels on one skid with plumbing that can be valved to change the orientation from parallel to series flow. Many of our media filters are outfitted with advanced controls that allow for automated backflush cycles. This extends the lifespan of the media contained within and reduces the need for frequent cleaning, disposal, and maintenance. Blue Tank & Pump Rental has several different sizes of media filters available to serve different applications with varying flow rate or retention time requirements.
