Well Pointing

Well Point Pumping is a great pumping solution for situations where excessive amounts of groundwater are at play and sandy soils are present. Whether you are pumping around a trench box, Ditch or on a bank this is a great way to decrease the amount of water present. A Well Point Solution involves the pump itself as well as header pipe and the points that go in the ground. These points are separated every three feet and have sand set around them to filter the water as it is sucked into the pump. The discharge side of the pump has a filter bag on it that allows water to come out of the system clean making this a great option to protect your digs or pump water out of banks that are heavily saturated.
Pipe and Point Features:
  • Header Pipe comes in 6” and 8” variations
  • Clear flexible swing joints allows workers onsite to watch flow
  • Well points have a 20 foot riser that allows for the points to be set as deep as 20 feet
  • Well points are made of 1.5” PVC
  • Vinyl Riser Top creates air tight seal between swings and riser pipe
Pump Features:
  • Rotary Lobe Pumps for systems up to 1000 ft od well points
  • Piston driven pumps for systems up to 100 ft of well points.
  • 6”, 8” and 12” pump models
  • Piston Pumps are very Fuel efficient, Burns less than 7 gallons per day
  • Stone catch filter on suction to protect the pump

Well points may not always be the best solution for every job based on soil type but when they can be used they are very effective tools to manage groundwater. Help keep your trenches safe and dry with well pointing.
